Standing Tall
Monday, November 2nd - Monday, November 30th, 2026
Opening Reception: Thursday, November 5th, 5-9pm
There is a common belief that strength is something we discover after adversity—that resilience is what remains once we have survived. I have come to believe something different.
We are shaped by everything we have lived through. Every loss, every moment of joy, every disappointment, every act of love, every mistake, and every triumph leaves its mark. Rather than diminishing us, these experiences become part of the architecture that allows us to stand taller than before.
The women in this exhibition are not portraits of perfection or invincibility. They embody the quiet strength that comes from living fully and carrying the evidence of that life with grace. Their presence is grounded, contemplative, and unwavering. They do not deny vulnerability; they are strengthened by it.
Standing Tall is an acknowledgment that resilience is not about becoming someone new. It is about becoming more completely ourselves. The weight of our experiences does not simply rest upon us—it shapes us, steadies us, and gives us the courage to keep moving forward.
This body of work is a celebration of that enduring spirit. It honors the beauty that emerges when we stop resisting the lives we have lived and instead recognize them as the very foundation upon which we stand.
We stand not despite what has shaped us, but because of it.
